Going up the high Atlas along a winding road, you will first discover the town of Ait Ben Haddou and its picturesque Kasbah ( declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987), a fortified enclosure within a walled town that you will surely recognize, since This citadel has been the setting for such famous films as Gladiator, Sahara, Indiana Jones, Babel. This adobe Kasbah ensemble is one of the oldest and greatest ksars in Morocco, Inside the Kasbah you will find a public square, a mosque, a Koranic school and houses. They will continue until they reach the highest of the Kasbah: Telouet, immersed in a unique and impressive setting, is a true work of art, fortress, castle at the same time. 300 workers are said to have worked for three years to sculpt ceilings and walls. There you can enjoy a beautiful view, 360 degrees around. You can enjoy a succulent meal in a Berber tent at the foot of the palace and back to Marrakech, crossing the port of Tizi in Tichka (2,260 m altitude). The ascent of the port is carried out by a particularly winding road that offers a spectacular panorama with a multitude of colors.
